Honored

Elmer Hess, 93 Grain Valley, is presented with a Congressional Record from Rep. Sam Graves, R-Missouri.

Sarah Woodward, of Grave’s office read the record to Hess at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #499 in Blue Springs Tuesday. Hess was also awarded with the Bronze Star Medal and the Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster.

Hess served in the Army’s 328th infantry regiment, 26th infantry division that landed on the beach in Normandy during World War II.
