BS man receives 13 year sentence for domestic assault

A Blue Springs man was sentenced to 13 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two counts of second degree domestic assault and one count of forcible sodomy, according to the Blue Springs Police Department.
Weon Gang has been detained in the Jackson County Dentition Facility since the incident a two and a half years ago, because he has been unable to post a $500,000 cash only bail, according to reports.
On Sept. 19, 2007, Blue Springs officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence on the 3600 block of Southwest Kimstin Circle. Upon arrival officers found a victim who was severely injured. After being transported to a local hospital, the victim underwent extensive surgery. reports indicate.
Gang was arrested for multiple violent offenses and transported to police headquarters.
On Feb. 25, 2010, Gang entered a guilty plea to the Jackson County Circuit Court.
