Betty Joyce Middlebrooks

Betty Joyce Middlebrooks, 71, Grain Valley, died Feb. 27, 2010.

Betty was born June 4, 1938 in Lamont, Kan., the daughter of the late Donald and Gladys (Sill) Barton. She was a 1956 graduate of Wichita High School East, Wichita, Kan. Betty worked as a mortgage closer for most of her life, retiring from Southwest Mortgage. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she joined her brother, Larry Barton in heaven.

Betty leaves behind her three daughters, Debbie Hale and husband, Barry, Belton, Cindy McKenzie, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Lorri Estes and Mike, Blue Springs; sister, Donna Carlton, Mulvane, Kan.; grandchildren, Jamie Estes, Amy Parks, Christopher McKenzie and Austin Hale; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tylere, Braylon; and many loving family members.

Funeral services were March 2 in the Meyers Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Greenton Cemetery, Odessa. Memorial contributions may be made care of Lorri Estes.
