USAF band to perform free concert

The Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble, the United States Air Force of Mid-America Band, will perform a free show, at 7 p.m., July 1.

Blue Springs residents are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to this musical event which will be at the gazebo in Rotary Park at Railroad Lake. The band will perform in the tradition of Glenn Miller to present a positive, patriotic and professional image of the Air Force to the citizens of Blue Springs. The band is comprised of 15 active duty professional instrumentalists and a vocalist providing a variety of big band jazz and patriotic selections.
