Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

As the August primary and November elections approach, we all have an obligation to get to know the candidates as much as possible.

Sheila Solon, a candidate for 55th District House of Representatives, has a long history of civic involvement and leadership. Highlights include nine years on the City Planning Commission as member and chair, three years on the city council and Mayor Pro-Tem. In addition, she has served on and led many city committees and task forces.

While serving with her on the city council, I was always impressed with her thorough research and detailed analysis of issues.

She diligently went through city budgets looking for alternatives to save tax dollars and promoted transparency of city government in all areas.

I have found Sheila easy to communicate and work with. She is dedicated to representing her constituents, not special interest groups, with enthusiasm.

I think Sheila Solon has the experience and capability to be an outstanding candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives.
