Club 7 Fitness recently opened its doors at in Blue Springs. The gym, located at 1241 S. Missouri 7, is family-owned and is managed by Matthew and Sarah Inman. Gary and Pam Hull and Jeremy and Shawnna Hull are owners, as well along with their eight grandchildren.
The family has always lived here and been in business here in Blue Springs.
“We’re just excited to be able to do it in the town we grew up in,” Matthew Inman said.
The 46,000-square-foot fitness facility strives to have a family atmosphere. Eighty-nine percent of its memberships are family memberships. Inman said Club 7 has a different membership demographic then other gyms, with 41 being the average age of members. There are several different types of membership options offered.
Inman said he likes to make sure that everyone who comes in enjoys his or her experience there. He said customers will be greeted when they walk in the door and acknowledged when they are leaving and there is staff on the floor at all times to assist people with anything they might need.
“It’s important that the customer gets what they need,” Inman said.
He said he likes the gym to be run in a positive, friendly environment.
The owners did a soft opening recently and are planning to have the grand opening for in mid-September.
The gym has general conditioning equipment, a free weight area and group fitness classes such as boot camp and trimetric exercises and yoga and Pilates. They also have youth fitness programs like Sparq.
In fact, there are more than 40 classes offered each week and licensed teachers teach all classes.
The main cardio decks include more than 100 pieces of equipment with the idea that customers won’t have to wait for equipment and there are no time limits on certain pieces of equipment. More than 30 televisions are located throughout the facility for customer satisfaction, as well.
Inman said in September, he anticipates “all the kinks will be worked out and Club 7 will be the real deal.”
The facility will also include a spa that will have estheticians, a chiropractic center, teeth whitening, physical therapy, nutritional consulting, massages, four tanning beds along with spray tanning and a “Shake This” franchise bar. It will also include a relaxation area with hot tubs that accommodate up to 24 people as well as a steam area and sauna, and two racquetball courts.
The Kid’s Club is an area for children, age 3 months to 11 years, to go to while their parents are working out. In September, there will also be a computer lab and reading room available for them to use.
