Harvey Earl Sharp

Harvey Earl Sharp, 73, Blue Springs, died July 23, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Harvey was born Nov. 3, 1936 in Osage Beach to Andrew and Rose Sharp. He served his country faithfully from 1954-1957 in the U.S. Navy. Harvey worked for 30 years on the assembly line for General Motors until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of UAW Local 93. Harvey cherished the time he spent with his son racing and fixing motorcycles. He loved his family and enjoyed being with his grandson.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jackie and Dixie.

He leaves behind his son, Allen Sharp, Independence; grandchild, Chandler Thomas Sharp, Independence; and siblings, William Cahill and wife, Cloy, Mitzie Payne and husband, Kenneth, and Diane.

The family received friends July 26 at Meyers Funeral Chapel. Graveside services were July 27 at Blue Springs Cemetery.
