Megan J. Wyatt, 17, Blue Springs, died Aug. 16, 2010 in Oak Grove, the result of a tragic accident.

Megan was born in Independence, June 18, 1993, the beloved daughter of Randall Wyatt and Jeanette Bentley. She attended the Oak Grove School District until April 2010, when she transferred to Blue Springs South High School. Megan was about to start her junior year. She was a member of Blue Springs Assembly where she loved to participate in numerous events and youth group activities and volunteer her time in the nursery. Megan always looked forward to the times she went to church camp.

Megan was a very special girl and touched the hearts of all who knew her with her caring and genuine ways. She was always one to look after other people and invest her time in them. Megan gained many friends over the years and they will all miss her immensely.

Megan was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Wyatt and her paternal grandparents, Dub and Betty Jo Wyatt.

She leaves behind her loving father, Randy Wyatt and wife, Kathy Wood of the home; mother, Jeanette Bentley, McMinnville, Tenn.; brother, Ray Wyatt; step-sister, Amber Wood; step-brother, Arick Wood, all of Blue Springs; her beloved Nana, Joyce Bentley, Oak Grove; and many friends.

The family received friends Aug. 24 at Blue Springs Assembly, 2501 N.E. Duncan Rd., Blue Springs. The funeral service was conducted by Reverends John Martz and Jeremy Naranjo at the church. Burial followed at Blue Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made care of Meyers Funeral Chapel.
